How to Use the Breville Grind Control
The Grind Control combines adjustable grinding and automatic brewing in one machine. Start with a medium setting, make one adjustment at a time and use freshly roasted beans for consistent results.

Grind Settings
The correct grind depends on the coffee bean, roast and flavor you prefer. Begin near the middle of the adjustment range, brew a cup and refine the setting gradually.
- Fill the hopper with fresh whole coffee beans.
- Select a medium grind as your starting point.
- Choose the cup or carafe quantity on the display.
- Adjust one grind step at a time after tasting the coffee.
Quick tip: Use a finer setting for more extraction or a coarser setting for less extraction.

Brewing Coffee
After selecting the grind, prepare the water tank and brew basket. The controls let you choose a single cup or a full carafe and tailor the strength to your preference.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold filtered water.
- Fit the reusable filter or a compatible paper filter into the basket.
- Select Cup or Carafe, then choose the required serving size.
- Choose the preferred strength setting.
- Press Start and allow the brewing cycle to finish.
Before first use: Rinse removable parts and run one complete cycle using water only.
